Coyote Valley should be new UC San Jose home
Regarding Coyote Valley (Letters, Sept. 22), rather than industrial parks and shopping centers, an appropriate portion of that beautiful land should be designated for a campus of the University of California, San Jose, and serviced by an extension of light rail. Thousands of jobs at all levels would be created by the university and the people of the San Jose metropolitan area, especially the southern portion, would have a local alternative to pursue advanced degrees in law, engineering, medicine, social sciences and the arts.
