A nighttime ride in Walnut Creek
Some started their weekend early Wednesday with a twilight ride at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek. The 80th Annual Walnut Festival will officially open at 5 p.m. Thursday at the park and run through Sunday. The festival offers family-friendly entertainment, live music and more than 30 rides along with artists crafts, food specialties and craft beer. For details, go to www.thewalnutfestival.org.
