“Animation Show of Shows”: Annual show featuring 12 family-friendly animated short films from around the world. This year’s collection includes Shel Silverstei­n’s “The Giving Tree” and Pixar’s “Piper.” At San Jose’s Camera 3 cinema.

“Aquarius” (Unrated): Sonia Braga plays Clara, a 65-year-old widow and former music critic who is the last resident of a seaside building called Aquarius. While developers close in, she vows to leave only when she’s dead. (In limited release)

“Being 17” (Unrated): Damien is a gay teenager who is teased by Tom, another boy at school. When Tom’s mother falls ill, and Damien’s mother takes him in, the relationsh­ip between the boys takes a dark turn. (In limited release) “Dracula” (Unrated): A descendant of Dracula kidnaps an Iranian man, and the pair become friends. Things go south when the man tries to get the vampire to stop craving blood. (In limited release) “Michael Moore in Trumpland” (Unrated): Controvers­ial filmmaker Michael Moore goes to the heartland to perform a one man show concerning this year’s presidenti­al election and basically ask people why they hate Hillary Clinton. (In limited release). “The Handmaiden” (Unrated): Inspired by British author SarahWinte­rs’ novel “Fingersmit­h,” this crime drama takes place in 1930s Japan, where a Korean woman has just been hired to serve a young Japanese woman on a secluded estate. But that handmaiden isn’t all that she seems. (In limited release)
