Beyoncé grants the wish of dying teen with FaceTime chat

-

Beyoncé granted the wish of a teen cancer patient by FaceTiming with her.

Houston high schooler Ebony Banks’ friends and family started a campaign to get the superstar singer’s attention. And it worked. Beyoncé sent her a message Wednesday, saying, “I love you,” and waving to the camera, according to E! News.

Ebony, who is also known as EBob, has spent most of her senior year in the hospital, after she was diagnosed with a rare form of stage four cancer, according to local station KIAH. Her school district and her friends and family held an early graduation ceremony for her earlier this month.

Ebony’s classmates spread #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE on social media in hopes of fulfilling their friend’s wish to get Beyoncé’s attention.

“Beyoncé is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we’re trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyoncé’s attention,” friend Karina Gutierrez told KTRK-TV.

Another friend, Cristal Depaz, said “We try to make sure she has a smile on her face and to make her wishes come true.”
