Lightning 6, Bruins 3: Nikita Kucherov had his third career hat trick to help Tampa Bay pull three points behind Boston for the Eastern Conference’s second wild card.

Maple Leafs 4, Devils 2: William Nylander set a franchise rookie mark by extending his points streak to 10 games as Toronto notched its seventh win in nine games.

Blues 4, Canucks 1: Magnus Paajarvi scored twice, and St. Louis won its fourth straight to stay in third place in the Central Division, one step ahead of Nashville.

Predators 3, Flames 1: Pekka Rinne made 24 saves to lead Nashville to its fifth win in six games in a battle of the top two Western Conference wild-card teams.

Blackhawks 3, Stars 2: Patrick Kane scored in regulation and again in the shootout to help first-place Chicago open an eight-point lead in the Central Division.

Olympics: Rene Fasel, the head of the Internatio­nal Ice Hockey Federation, says he needs to know by the end of April whether NHL players will be allowed to play in the Olympics next year in South Korea. Commission­er Gary Bettman has said league owners are against stopping the season again for the Olympics.
