Credibility of the stories attacking Trump lacking
The story “Did Trump spill U.S. Secrets?” (Page 1A, May 16) illustrates an important point about assessing the veracity of news articles, especially in this day and age of the war on “fake news”. This article from the Washington Post refers to “officials” as the sources of the information presented, with the identity of the “officials” never revealed.
Moreover, the article refers to “officials” no less than 13 times.
This is about as vague as you can get.
For the discerning reader, such dubious reporting is suspect.
Sadly, I believe too many in the general public don’t question these things.
