What: The 15th of 24 events in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Where: Sonoma Raceway, Highways 37 and 121, Sonoma.

When: Today through Sunday.

TV: Today — Qualifying, 8-9 p.m. on Fox Sports 1 (tape delay). Saturday — Qualifying, 7-8 p.m. on Fox Sports 1 (tape delay). Sunday — Final eliminations, 1-4 p.m. on Fox.

Last year: J.R. Todd (Top Fuel), John Force (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and LE Tonglet (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were the 2016 winners at Sonoma. The victory for Force was his eighth at Sonoma.

NHRA update: This is the second stop of the NHRA’s Western Swing. Last week at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colorado, Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Robert Hight (Funny Car), Drew Skillman (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were the winners. Brown is 54 points behind Top Fuel leader Steve Torrence in the season standings. Ron Capps has a 186-point lead over Matt Hagan in Funny Car, Bo Butner holds a 174-point advantage over Greg Anderson in Pro Stock and Tonglet is 74 points ahead of Krawiec in Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Schedule: Today — Sportsman qualifying, 10 a.m. Professional qualifying sessions at 4:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday — Sportsman eliminations, 8:15 a.m. Professional qualifying sessions at 1:10 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. Sunday — Professional final eliminations, 11 a.m.
