p.m. Aug. 18: According to police, someone smashed a car window and stole a laptop bag.

Fremont

3600 block of Norfolk Road, 4:47 a.m. Aug. 18: A neighbor called police about a car alarm sounding and saw two people with flashlights looking through the inside of a vehicle. When police arrived, the two fled in a black GMC. Bayfield and Millbrook streets, 11:18 a.m. Aug. 18: Police say an individual with $800 with the intention to buy a cell phone from another was robbed. The robber then was chased by a witness but manage to disappear into a home. Officers were able to determine the home the robber fled into and placed him under arrest.

36300 block of Haley Street, 4:39 p.m. Aug. 18: Someone stole a package. 6700 block of Normandy Drive, 5:54 a.m. Aug. 18: A green 1997 Honda Civic was reported stolen. Newark Boulevard and Jarvis Avenue, 8:34 p.m.

Aug. 17: According to police, four vehicles were burglarized and electronic devices were stolen. NewPark Mall, 4:51 p.m. Aug. 17: Police cited a 29-year- old woman for petty theft at Macy’s.

p.m. Aug. 17: According to police, two cars were reported vandalized. Someone poured acid over one of the vehicles. El Camino Real, 5:17 p.m. Aug. 17: Someone stole a white road bike. Police say there is video available. Carson Street, 5 p.m. Aug. 17: A scooter was stolen from a garage. Walnut Street, 1:09 p.m. Aug. 17: A transient was cited for shoplifting. Arch Street, 11:06 p.m. Aug. 17: Police say someone entered a business and took a regulator and a nitrous tank. Poplar Avenue, 6:59 a.m. Aug. 17: Someone poured acid over a white Toyota Camry.
