Campbell

• 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue, 4 p.m. Saturday: Someone stole a wallet and used the contents to make purchases.

• Union and McGlincy streets, Saturday: According to police, someone stole a blue 2005 Toyota Matrix.

• 1000 block of Boise Drive, Saturday: Police said while a home was preparing for fumigation, someone entered and stole electronic devices. 600 block of Campbell Avenue, late Aug. 25: Someone gained entry to a vehicle and stole a gym bag.

• 1000 block of Salerno Avenue, late Aug. 25: Police said someone broke into mailboxes and stole mail.

Fremont

• Warm Springs, 4:49 p.m. Aug. 25: Police said loss-prevention detained a 27-year-old woman for petty theft.

• 200 block of Meadows Court, 1:49 p.m. Aug. 25: According to police, a resident heard a knock at the door. He went to investigat­e but was not familiar with them and retreated up the stairs. He then saw three of them walk toward the backyard and called 911 when he heard them breaking in. Officers arrived within minutes and detained a man sitting in the driver’s side of a burgundy-colored vehicle parked near the home. The other three managed to flee. The resident was safe.

• Gurdwara Road, and Mission Boulevard, 9:48 a.m. Aug. 25: Police said someone broke a windshield with a metal pipe over a dispute regarding money.

Newark

•36000 block of Bettencour­t Street, 1:38 p.m. Sunday: A vehicle was reported vandalized.

• Swindon Court, 11:56 a.m. Sunday: Someone smashed a car window and stole a pair of shoes.

Redwood City

• El Camino Real, 6:57 p.m. Aug. 25: The manager of a business was caught on video deliberate­ly vandalizin­g a tree. He complained earlier the tree was blocking his business sign.

• Lincoln Avenue, 3:59 p.m. Aug. 25: Someone broke into a home and stole computers. Another home burglary occurred 20 minutes later on the same street.

• Oliver Street, 3:03 p.m. Aug. 25: A man called police to report he was physically assaulted after he refused to surrender his keys to his car.

• Finger Avenue, 7:21 a.m. Aug. 25: Someone stole plants from a property under constructi­on.

Foster City

• East Hillsdale Boulevard, 2:23 p.m. Sunday: Someone committed petty theft.

• East Hillsdale Boulevard, 9:45 p.m. Saturday: According to police, two people were cited after being caught shopliftin­g.

• Foster City Boulevard, 9:02 p.m. Aug. 25: Police said someone broke into a car. Another car on the same street was damaged after someone attempted to break into it earlier that day.
