Man, 21, stabbed to death in home identified

SAN JOSE » A 21-year- old man who was stabbed to death in his San Jose home has been identified as Martin Fernandez, the Santa Clara Medical Examiner- Coroner’s Office said Thursday.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 5400 block of Fairway Drive on Sunday near the San Jose Country Club.

Officers found Fernandez with at least one stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police then arrested 45-year- old Jerry Hartman on suspicion of stabbing his housemate.

Hartman was booked early Monday into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on a murder count.
