With two notable words in an Instagram caption, Karlie Kloss sent Taylor Swift fans into a frenzy over the state of the women’s on- again, off- again friendship.

While sharing an Instagram video of herself posing for Love magazine, Kloss, the 25-year- old Victoria’s Secret model, included the words “Swish, Swish” in the caption. That phrase happens to be the name of a Katy Perry song that was considered to be a dis of Swift, Perry’s longtime nemesis.

Kloss’ followers immediately took to the comments to ask whether she intended the “Swish, Swish” reference as a subtle dig at Swift. The caption was later changed to “Nothing but net.”

“I love you karlie and taylor is your ride or die,” one follower wrote, Us Weekly reported.

“Making that caption when obviously you know about the feud is kinda asking for it,” another wrote. Added another: “It’s not bad that shemay LIKE Katy, it’s not unacceptable for the squad.”

Apparently reacting to the backlash, Kloss changed her caption to read “Nothing but net,” Us Weekly said.

Still, the damage had been done in offering up another chapter in an ongoing “Kaylor” saga.

For several years, Kloss was best known as Swift’s true BFF. She appeared with her on the cover of Vogue in 2015. The two also shared the stage at Victoria’s Secret fashion shows and popped up frequently in each other’s social media.

Kloss also soon became known for her proximity to the Jared Kushner-Ivanka Trump White House power duo because of her five-year relationship with Joshua Kushner, Jared’s younger brother.

Swift fans believed they received confirmation of a falling out late this summer when the Grammy winner excluded Kloss’ name from a T- shirt she wore listing the names of some of her famous squad members in her “Look What You Made Me Do” music video. Other names that appeared on the Tshirt included Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Ed Sheeran and Blake Lively.

As for the “Swish, Swish” reference, the Daily Mail suggested that Kloss may have meant no harm. After all, the word “swish” is the word used in basketball to represent the sound the ball makes when it rushes through the net. For her Lovemagazine photo shoot, Kloss poses playing basketball.
