Man suspected of raping 7-year-old
HALF MOON BAY » A 36-year-old San Joseman has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 7-year- old relative, authorities said.
Alfonso Aguilar- Jaimes is accused of raping the female victimon two different occasions in Half Moon Bay, said Detective Rosemerry Blankswade of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
After a “thorough investigation,” the San Jose Police Department, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Service and San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office teamed up to arrest Aguilar-Jaimes in Modesto on Tuesday as he was potentially trying to flee to Mexico, Blankswade said.
Aguilar- Jaimes was booked into San Mateo County jail on sexual assault charges, including sodomy of a 7-year- old and assault with intent to commit rape, Blankswade said.
Additional details about the case, including when the alleged crimes occurred and who reported them to authorities, were not immediately available.
