Watch Trump, GOP closely in Mueller probe

-

Donald Trump’s actions in removing Jeff Sessions as attorney general, bypassing Rod Rosenstein, and appointing Matt Whitaker, a known antiMueller partisan, as his attorney general is entirely consistent with the actions of a criminal who knows what he is guilty of.

Trump will desperately try to stop the Mueller probe in the next several months before the Democrats take the House of Representatives because he is well aware of how advanced Mueller’s probe is.

If Trump was innocent, he would fearlessly let Mueller and the Democrats proceed with their investigations and laugh when they found nothing. But Trump is not innocent and instead acts as a coward trying to stop justice because he fears for himself. Only a guilty man acts like Trump does. Watch closely what the Trump administration and GOP do in their lame- duck period; they will assuredly not act legally or morally.

Re: “Why voters should OK $4 billion Prop. 1 housing measure” (Editorial, Opinion section, Oct. 6)

I disagree with the housing measure. I think that the money that would be used for it could be used more efficiently elsewhere. In my opinion, removing rent control is the best solution to the housing crisis. We have learned in economic classes that if the demand for housing is high enough then it is an incentive for landowners to create more buildings and expand.

Because of rent control, there is not as much incentive as the demand is higher than what landlords or landowners want to supply. Just putting a bunch of money to create housing, while it does solve the issue, wastes tons of money when we can get equilibrium in the supply and demand of housing by removing price ceilings.
