Celine Dion denies gifting Jolie clothes

In November, Grammywinning singer Celine Dion took time away from touring, performing in Las Vegas, preparing a newalbum and rearing her three children to launch a unique gender-neutral clothing line for children. At the time, the Canadian diva said the aim with her Celinununu brand was to encourage “a dialogue of equality and possibility,” the Huffington Post reported.

She said she and her partners believe they can do so by giving children, from infants to 14-yearolds, the option to wear tops, pants and hoodies, as well as skirts and dresses, that are free of gender stereotypes.

It turns out that Dion already has an A-list fan in Angelina Jolie. The actress, director and globetrotting humanitarian agrees that clothes that eschew traditional pinks, blues and other gender-related themes are right for her six children, an insider told Radar Online. Jolie has six children with est ranged husband Brad Pitt: Maddox, 17; Pax, 14; Zahara, 13; Shiloh, 12; and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

Dion’s representatives are denying that the Grammy-winning singer sent Jolie clothing from Celinununu in order to enlist the actress’ support.

The website Gossip Cop quoted Dion’s spokesperson, who said, “Celine and/ or Celinununu did not send Angelina Jolie any Celinununu items.”

“There’s a message Celine is trying to send out there about overly gendered apparel,” an insider told Radar Online.

Jolie, 43, “has never pushed her kids into wearing clothes they don’t want to, and she’s encouraged themto fight for gender selfdetermination and combat gender norms that are both coercive and harmful,” the insider added. “Some say this is simply a vanity project for Celine, but Angelina will be glad to see the line take off because it underlines her own beliefs,” the insider said.

Dion launched her clothing line with a rather dramatic video, showing her entering a hospital and magically changing newborns’ pink and blue outfits into blacks and whites — and then getting arrested.
