Dawson confirms she’s dating Booker

The “Luke Cage” actress revealed to revealed to TMZ that she and presidential hopeful Cory Booker indeed are dating.
All right, maybe we should slow our roll on the first lady thing. Booker, the junior senator fromNewJersey, is just one of 1,283 Democratswho in 2020 hopes to make Donald Trump a oneterm president.
And from what Dawson had to say to TMZ, it seems that she andBooker are just at the beginning stages of their relationship.
However, she did have plenty of nice things to say about him. “So far, so wonderful,” Dawson, 39, said. “He’s a wonderful human being. It’s good to spend some time together when we can. We’re very busy.”
TMZ’s cameras caught up with Dawson as she was walking through Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. Theinterviewer first pointed out that Dawsonhadbeenspending a lot of time recently in our nation’s capital.
When he finally asked her to confirm the rumors that she and Booker were dating, Dawson didn’t hesitate. “Yes, verymuchso,” shesaid.
He then asked if Dawson and Booker would be following in Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s example anytime soon and become engaged. “Wow! You’re going all in,” Dawson replied. “I have no idea. I amjust grateful tobewith someone that I respect, and I love, and admire somuch, who is sobrilliant, andkind, and caring, and loving.”
In a radio interview last month, the 49-year- old Booker did say he was dating someone, although he didn’t reveal it to be Dawson.
The conversation began with “Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne tha God asking if Booker thought his bachelor status would hurt his chances of winning the White House. “I got a boo,” Booker would later say. And, yes, Booker does think his boo would make a good first lady.
According to Politico, Dawson co-founded Voto Latino, a nonpartisan organization that encourages young Latinos to register to voteandbecomemorepolitically involved.
Dawson endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders during the 2016 campaign andwent on to campaign with the Vermont senator throughout the primary season, Politico reports.
