Madonna has unique health regimen.

This week, Madonna posted a video showing her using both popular and unconventional therapies — including drinking what she claimed was urine — to help her recover from the physical rigors of performing for her “Madame X” tour.

Madonna, who has concerts this weekend in Los Angeles, is first seen in the video lowering herself into the ice-filled bath. Wearing a Nike sports top and bike pants and sporting a large bruise on her right forearm, the 61-year-old singer said immersing oneself in freezing- cold water is the “best treatment for injuries.”

Her bath lasted a minute or two. She then showed herself sitting at the edge of the tub, wrapped in a white, fluffy robe and sipping yellow liquid from a white cup.

Madonna mischievously identifies the liquid as body waste. “It’s really good to drink urine after you’ve got out of the frozen bath,” Madonna said. It’s not certain that Madonna was actually drinking urine — or whose urine it might be.

But the Daily Mail reported that the pop diva has previously admitted to urinating on her own feet to ward off athlete’s foot.

Madonna’s use of coldwater immersion has become increasingly popular for athletes who are looking to soothe pain from sore muscles after heavy workouts or competition, Men’s Health reported this summer. It’s also believed that ice baths can reduce fatigue and improve performance.

Meanwhile, drinking urine is far more controversial and its benefits not at all proven, according to Healthline.com.

Madonna has been performing what’s been described as an intimate theater-style show in cities around the U. S. and the world.

She performed at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theatre Nov. 2- 5. She irked some fans by moving the curtain time from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. But critics say she has been giving fans their money’s worth by putting on a show that lasts more than two hours.

NME.com called her show a “mind-blowing riot of theatrics and powerful political messaging” that includes lots of high-level dancing and set pieces.
