- Staff and wire report

Warriors guard Jacob Evans III, who exited Tuesday’s game against the Mavericks after being elbowed in the face, suffered a concussion and a broken nose. There is no timetable for his return.

With 4: 38 remaining in the second quarter, Evans went up for a defensive rebound and took an inadvertent elbow to the face from Mavericks center Dwight Powell. He collapsed in front of the Mavericks’ bench and, after lying on the court for several minutes, was helped to the locker room by a team trainer.

Evans, the No. 28 pick in the 2018 draft, will enter the league’s concussion protocol per NBA rules. Upon his return, he will wear a protective mask until his nose has healed.

In 21 games, Evans averaged 4.4 points on 30.8% shooting (37% from 3-point range), 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 14.8 minutes per game.
