We must speak out to protect our soldiers

-

I grieve for our men and women in uniform who believe that our government always has a soldier’s back.

Imagine yourself in the unfamiliar and dangerous territory of Afghanistan, full of toxic chemicals, infectious diseases, suicide bombings, terrorist attacks, believing that all is being done to make you safe, while your government knows that you have a $100,000 bounty on your head and says nothing, does nothing.

Every day that we accept our government’s silence and its failure to act, we are ever more complicit in this heinous of betrayals. It’s treachery.

Do not remain silent. Demand that your government stops its disloyalty to our husbands, wives, sons and daughters. Write, call, march. We must do this for our military family whose lives are in jeopardy every day that this goes on. Anything less and we are just as guilty as the government we have elected to serve us.
