Trump may be going but challenges remain

President Trump is all but gone.

While it seems to be good riddance, he did awaken the country from a deep slumber.

Same old, same old is not good enough. We have to adapt to a new place in the community of nations in which we will have co- equals.

War to assuage our ego by entering into wars like Afghanistan and Iraq is a losing weapon. Fighting for our own health, education and making us a more equal nation is a better way.

Our country is diverse, unequal but stuck in centuriesold ideology. We will have to change to be a nation that is fair to all its citizens.

Joe Biden cannot go back to old ways.

Our priorities are crystal clear. Health care, education, immigration, racial justice and climate change.

We know governments are sluggish and it is a tall order. Even an earnest beginning will do.
