Drivers don’t need another distraction

I read Steve Johnson’s piece on staying connected on the road ( Page C1, Nov. 5) , and that is needed like I need a third eye. It’s another way to distract drivers that are already too distracted, and that is a major safety issue. Also, it’s just another way to sell more stuff in the information overkill age we live in. I do just fine with the Caltrans Road Conditions phone line and, in the Bay Area, the 740 AM radio station that issues traffic bulletins every 20 minutes day and night.

Sorry, but this technology is of no interest to me.
