After years of a solitary life, she meets a man ( Michiel Huisman) who might be worth losing her immortalit­y for. ( Opens wide) “Adult Beginners” ( R): A hipster entreprene­ur with his life in shambles ( Nick Kroll) leaves Manhattan to move in with his pregnant, estranged sister ( Rose Byrne), her husband ( Bobby Cannavale) and their 3- year- old son in the suburbs and ends up being their nanny. ( Opens wide). “Dior and I” ( Unrated): This film offers a look inside the Christian Dior fashion house at the creation of Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection as its new artistic director. ( Opens in Berkeley and S. F.) “The Water Diviner” ( R): Russell Crowe stars as an Australian man who travels to Turkey after the Battle of Gallipoli to find his three missing sons. ( Opens in San Jose and S. F.) “Kung Fu Killer” ( Unrated): A martial arts teacher goes to jail for killing a man. But when a serial killer targets martial arts masters, the police go to the imprisoned instructor for help. ( Opens in San Jose)

Cooper’s documentar­y focuses on the unlikely partnershi­p of Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp, aspiring filmmakers whose careers took a turn when they discovered an obscure rock band they decided to manage that eventually became known as The Who.
