“Avengers: Age of Ultron” ( PG- 13): The gang is back as Tony Stark’s ( Robert Downey Jr.) peacekeepi­ng project goes bad and the Avengers must reunite to defeat the powerful villain Ultron ( James Spader). ( Opens wide) “Far From the Madding Crowd” ( PG- 13): Based on the 1874 Thomas Hardy book, it’s the story of beautiful and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene ( Carey Mulligan), who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak ( Matthias Schoenaert­s), a sheep farmer; Frank Troy ( Tom Sturridge), a handsome and reckless sergeant; and William Boldwood ( Michael Sheen), a prosperous and mature bachelor. ( Opens in San Jose and San Francisco) “Felix & Meira” ( R): AFrench film about an unusual romance that blossoms between two lost souls who inhabit the same neighborho­od but vastly different worlds.
