The Chicago White Sox were looking to add some pop while solidifying third base, and they are counting on Todd Frazier to provide it.

The All-Star third baseman was acquired from the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday as part of a three-team, seven-player trade that also included the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Los Angeles received outfielder Trayce Thompson, right-hander Frankie Montas and second baseman Micah Johnson from the White Sox, and Cincinnati got infielders Brandon Dixon and Jose Peraza and outfielder Scott Schebler from the Dodgers.

Thompson is the brother of the Warriors’ Klay Thompson.

Frazier, 29, was an N.L. All-Star in each of the past two seasons and hit .255 this year with 43 doubles, 35 homers and 89 RBIs.

Giants: Johnny Cueto has finalized his $130 million, six-year contract after passing a physical Wednesday. The righthander will be formally introduced during a Thursday news conference at AT&T Park.

Cueto posted a photo on Twitter of him at the ballpark Wednesday, writing: “It’s an even year and I’m ready to roll. Glad to be on board. Vamos!” or “let’s go!” in Spanish. The reference is to the Giants’ World Series championships in even years: 2010, 2012 and 2014.

A’s: The team released first baseman Nate Freiman. He played 116 games for Oakland in the 2013-14 seasons, hitting .256 and totaling nine home runs and 39 RBIs. Freiman, 28, spent the 2015 season with Triple-A Nashville.

Mets: Bartolo Colon is returning to New York for a third season. Colon, 42, has agreed to a $7.25 million, one-year contract to remain with the Mets, according to a person familiar with the negotiations.

Colon was 14-13 with a 4.16 ERA in 31 starts and two relief appearances this year, then had a 2.08 ERA in seven relief appearances during the postseason. On Sept. 5 against Miami, he became the oldest Mets pitcher to throw a shutout.

Indians: Cleveland filled two of its biggest needs, reportedly signing first baseman/designated hitter Mike Napoli and center fielder Rajai Davis to oneyear deals, the Akron Beacon Journal reported.

Napoli’s reported $7 million deal and Davis’ $5.25 million deal are both pending physicals.

Napoli, 34, provides the Indians with an everyday option at first base or as a designated hitter along with Carlos Santana. Napoli had 18 home runs and 50 RBIs with Boston and Texas last season.

Davis, 35, last season hit .258 with 18 stolen bases for Detroit.

Cardinals: Catcher Yadier Molina has undergone a second operation on his injured left thumb and will be in a cast for 45 weeks. The second surgery took place because Molina was still experiencing discomfort in the thumb. The first operation came in mid-October. The team is hopeful the eight-time Gold Glove winner can return by opening day.

Angels: Outfielder Daniel Nava agreed to a oneyear deal with Los Angeles. The 32-year-old Bay Area product played for Boston and Tampa Bay last season.

Orioles: Korean outfielder Hyun-soo Kim has agreed to a two-year, $7 million contract with the Orioles, an industry source told The Baltimore Sun. Kim, a 27-year-old lefthanded hitter, hit .326 with a .438 on-base percentage, 28 home runs and 128 RBIs in 141 games last season in the Korean Baseball Organization.
