Smoking meth lab prompts evacuation

Delaware State Police say a portable meth lab found giving off smoke in a trash can has forced a home evacuation.

A police statement says troopers went to the home in Felton early Friday following a report of a domestic complaint. Authorities say a resident barricaded himself in a bathroom, but was later taken into custody.

Police say the resident had discarded an active one-pot meth bottle in a trash can outside and it began to smoke.
