Washington 41, Oregon State

17: Jake Browning threw for three touchdowns to give him 26 for the season, added another rushing TD, and the fifth-ranked Huskies used a big first half to roll. Washington (7-0, 4-0 Pac-12) won its 10th straight, a streak that started with a victory at Oregon State last season. It is the Huskies’ longest win streak since winning 12 straight during the 2000-01 seasons. Coming off a bye, the Huskies easily outworked the undermanned Beavers (2-5, 1-3) heading into next week’s matchup at No. 19 Utah. Washington put away this expected blowout early, jumping to a 21-0 lead after one quarter and leading 31-0 at halftime. Washington has now outscored opponents 100-7 in the first quarter and 200-24 in the first half this season. Browning led the attack, even if his completion percentage wasn’t up to the standard he set through the first six games when he led the country hitting 72 percent of his throws. Browning threw touchdowns of 19 yards to Aaron Fuller and 23 yards to Dante Pettis sandwiched around his own 1-yard TD run in the first quarter. Browning finished 14 of 28 for 291 yards. John Ross had 115 yards receiving and Pettis added 112 yards — both with four catches — giving the Huskies two receivers with more than 100 yards for the first time since 2002.

Utah 52, UCLA 45: Five years after Utes running back Joe Williams and Bruins quarterback Mike Fafaul left Fork Union Military Academy together, they both posted recordbreaking performances on the same wild afternoon. Williams rushed for a school-record 332 yards and four touchdowns in his second game back from retirement, and the No. 19 Utes held off the pass-happy Bruins. Cory Butler-Byrd returned the opening kickoff for a 99-yard touchdown on a day of stunning superlatives for the Utes (7-1, 4-1 Pac-12) in their second straight win at the Rose Bowl. Williams broke off TD runs of 3, 43, 64 and 55 yards. Fafaul made his own history, setting UCLA records for pass attempts (70) and completions (40) while throwing for 464 yards, third most in school annals. UCLA essentially abandoned its awful running game, which began the weekend ranked 126th out of 128 FBS teams. Fafaul, the former walk-on, had five touchdown passes and four interceptions for the Bruins (3-5, 1-4) in their fourth loss in five games. Washington St. 37, Arizona St. 32: Luke Falk threw for 398 yards and three touchdowns, Robert Taylor scored on a 100-yard kickoff return and the Cougars held off the Sun Devils. Washington State (5-2, 4-0 Pac-12) labored offensively early as Arizona State forced the Cougars to throw underneath instead of deep. Falk adjusted nicely, helping the Cougars score 28 straight points to remain tied with No. 5 Washington atop the Pac-12 North Division. Arizona State (5-3, 2-3) was down to its fourth-string quarterback after Manny Wilkins was injured on the opening drive and had four other starters out. Colorado State 42, UNLV 23: Nick Stevens threw two touchdown passes, and the visiting Rams (4-4, 2-2 Mountain West) had 230 yards rushing on a season-high 50 carries in beating UNLV (3-5, 2-2). Marvin Kinsey and Izzy Matthews each ran for two touchdowns and Michael Gallup had seven receptions for 91 yards and a score for Colorado State.

Hawaii 34, Air Force 27: Dru Brown threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Kemp on the first play of the second overtime, and the Rainbow Warriors ended the Falcons’ (4-3, 1-3 Mountain West) 15-game home winning streak. Jalen Rogers intercepted a Nate Romine pass on fourth down to seal it for Hawaii (44, 3-1), which won consecutive road games for the first time since 2010.
