Moreau Catholic nearly pulled off another big rally Saturday, taking a second-half lead after trailing 26-9 against EsperanzaA­naheim in the Div. II CIF final in Sacramento. But Esperanza and Stanford-bound star Kezie Okpala grabbed the lead back and won 72-65. Okpala had 22 points and 12 rebounds. Moreau star Damari Milstead also scored 22. Moreau finished 25-10.

Girls

Archbishop Mitty had a tough second half, making five of 23 shots and losing to Clovis-West 44-40 in the Open Division championsh­ip. Mitty managed just 13 points after intermissi­on. They scored 18 in the second period. Mitty finished 28-3 for the season.
