Assistant teacher arrested for suspicion of false bomb reports
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — An assistant teacher at a private school has been arrested for calling in bomb threats to that same school, authorities said Tuesday.
Police arrested 22-yearold Pablo Munoz, of South San Francisco, on Friday without incident at LePort Montessori School, 50 Fell St. He is suspected of two felony counts of making threats and two misdemeanor counts of falsely reporting a bomb to the school, police said.
Police received notifications of the threats twice over nine days. Police were called on May 8 and May 16 to investigate the respective incidents but didn’t find any detonating devices either time.
Investigators identified Munoz as the suspect early on, according to police.
