Dodgers 2, Cardinals 1: Logan Forsythe doubled in a run in the 13th inning to lift Los Angeles over St. Louis. Clayton Kershaw lost his shutout and eighth victory by giving up a run in the ninth on a wild pitch. Diamondbac­ks 5, White Sox 4: Jake Lamb and Chris Herrmann homered, and Arizona won for the seventh time in eight games. Royals 6, Yankees 2: Jorge Bonifacio capped a threerun, seventh-inning rally for Kansas City with a go-ahead, two-run homer. Braves 6, Pirates 5: Matt Adams singled in the winning run with about 200 fans left in the stands in Atlanta for the ninth inning in a game delayed more than three hours by rain. Nationals 10, Mariners 1: Anthony Rendon homered twice and drove in five runs for Washington. Chris Bergman allowed all of the Nationals’ runs and 14 of their 15 hits. Angels 4, Rays 0: Cameron Maybin and Mike Trout hit back-to-back home runs to begin the game, and Matt Shoemaker won his third consecutiv­e start for Los Angeles. Mets 9, Padres 3: Michael Conforto homered twice and had a career-high four RBIs for New York. Astros 6, Tigers 2: Juan Centeno, making his debut because regular catcher Brian McCann is on the 7-day concussion list, homered to help Houston beat Detroit. Willie Stargell: Members of Willie Stargell’s family, including several children and grandchild­ren, are angered by his widow’s decision to auction some of the Hall of Famer’s possession­s, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Memorabili­a for the auction, which begins Wednesday, is being donated by Willie Stargell’s second wife, Margaret Weller-Stargell. But Dolores Stargell, who was married to the late Pirates first baseman from 1962 to 1983, was disappoint­ed upon hearing of the auction.
