Police seeking trio of ‘beer run’ robbers
Police are seeking the public’s help in their search for three men who turned a beer run into an armed robbery at a San Jose gas station in late May.
Tuesday, San Jose police released surveillance images of suspects sought in a May 25 holdup at the Arco station at Tully Road and McLaughlin Avenue.
The crime was reported around 1:54 a.m. when two of the the three men went into the store, grabbed beer out of a refrigerator and walked out without paying, police said.
When the station clerk followed them outside, a waiting third man pulled out a handgun, forced the clerk back inside, and demanded money out of the cash register, police said. The three men then ran off.
One suspect was described as a Latino man in his 20s, 5-feet-9 inches tall with short dark hair, wearing a dark-gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and carrying a black semi-automatic pistol.
A second suspect was described as a Latino man in his late 20s to early 30s, 5-feet-9 inches tall with a medium build and a tattoo on the left side of his neck, wearing a black skull cap, prescription eyeglasses and blue jeans. The third suspect was described as a Latino man in his mid20s, 5-feet-7 inches tall with a heavy build, wearing a black skull cap, darkgray T-shirt, light-gray pants and black-and-white shoes.
