- ADVERTORIAL PROVIDED BY RIVER ISLANDS

River Islands in Lathrop will be rolling out a number of new features this summer, with the grand openings of two new neighborhoods, a new bridge across the San Joaquin River, a grand reopening of The Boathouse restaurant and the completion of new neighborhood parks.

Beacon Bay by Kiper Homes is set for a mid-July grand opening. This new neighborhood, built along the eastern shore of one of the community’s large lakes, will feature four two-story floor plans ranging from 2,281 to 2,939 square feet with three

to five bedrooms and three to four bathrooms. Beacon Bay is the second neighborhood from Kiper Homes at River Islands; its homes at 360 Lakeside are among the most popular in the community. More information before the grand opening is available at the 360 Lakeside sales office just a few blocks away.

The next neighborhood now being readied for a summer grand opening is Latitude by Van Daele Homes. Latitude is an all-new collection of homes from the builders of River Islands’ luxurious Summer House neighborhood. Latitude will feature Van Daele’s first single-story home design offered at River Islands to date. The three floor plans will range from 1,813 to 2,584 square feet with three to six bedrooms. More information can be found at the Summer House sales office.

For the first time in 50 years, after more than a dozen years in the planning, a new bridge crossing the San Joaquin River will be opening with access into the master plan’s future Town Center from Interstate 5. Named after the late longtime resident of Lathrop, Mike Bradshaw, Bradshaw’s Crossing is scheduled for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in mid-July. Not only does the bridge connect both sides of Lathrop, it offers River Islands’ residents another entrance and exit point.

Neighborhood parks are also slated for completion this summer and into the fall, including one adjacent to the Tidewater neighborhood. In general, neighborhood parks are designed with their closest neighbors in mind, with covered seating for picnics and relaxation, play structures for the kids, and even recreational sports amenities for everyone to enjoy. Accessible to the entirety of River Islands, these parks have been designed as comfortable meeting places for old and new neighbors alike, bustling with play and a welcoming atmosphere.

The month of July will bring the grand reopening of The Boathouse restaurant. Featuring lakefront dining and attractively located in the heart of the community of South River Bend, The Boathouse will be offer lunch and dinner service.

With the summer opening of two new neighborhoods, River Islands will have seven distinctive neighborhoods to choose from, representing five of California’s top builders. Single-story homes as well as two-story plans are available, with prices from the low $400,000 range and the low $500,000 range.
