500 block of Cowper Street, 9:40 p.m. July 13: Police say someone smashed a car window and stole property. University Avenue, 1 a.m. July 13: Police arrested a juvenile for snatching a phone out of the hand of a man at the train station. 700 block of Quarry Road, 6:24 p.m. July 12: Someone smashed a car window and stole items. Police also say two other similar incidents occurred on the 100 block of El Camino Real within a few hours of each other. 300 block of University Avenue, 10:11 a.m. July 12: Someone broke into a business and stole items. 2700 block of Middlefiel­d Road, 2:07 p.m. July 7: A purse was reported stolen.

Fremont

43800 block of Osgood Road, July 11: A store employee at Fry’s Electronic­s said a man stole a camera and headphones and fled. They also indicated this same man was armed with a knife last time he stole so they didn’t try to detain him. Officers were able to track him down and arrest him moments later. Mowry Avenue, 9:06 p.m. July 10: According to police, someone walked in to Payless Shoes at the Hub and walked up to the register as if to make a purchase a pair of shoes. When the cashier opened the register, the man grabbed the money and made sure the cashier saw that he had a gun before fleeing. Mission Boulevard, 8:52 p.m. July 10: Someone on foot approached another in a vehicle and told the driver to “Give it up,” referencin­g his wallet but the driver sped off and called the police. 4400 block of Amiens Avenue, 9:34 a.m. July 10: A woman saw a man in her backyard and screamed. The man than took off in a white van and drove away.

Heller Street, 6:39 p.m. July 12: Someone entered a red Chevy Camaro and stole personal items. Second Avenue, 6:36 p.m. July 12: Police say someone stole an orange 1997Mazda. Ruby Street, 3:39 p.m. July 12: Tools were reported stolen from a vehicle. Hoover Street, 11:16

a.m. July 12: According to police, someone stole a green Chevy Tahoe and a black GMC Yukon. Another vehicle was reported stolen 90minutes earlier on Myrtle Street.
