700 block of Layne Court, 8:29 p.m. Tuesday: Someone smashed a car window and stole items. A few minutes earlier, another vehicle’s window was smashed on the 300 block of University Avenue, and property was also reported stolen.

2600 El Camino Real, 2:27 p.m. Tuesday: Police said someone entered a car and stole property. Three other vehicles on the same street had the windows

smashed and items taken.

1900 block of Embarcader­o Road, 4 p.m.

Monday: According to police, someone pried open the doors to an aircraft but there were no reports of anything stolen.

3100 block of El Camino Real, 8:49 p.m. Monday:

A vehicle’s window was smashed and items were reported stolen.

Fremont

43500 block of Boscell Road, 5:18 p.m. Aug. 5: According to police, a man in a store was pushing a cart full of merchandis­e. He then pushed it past cash registers and to an exit where loss prevention staff was waiting. He abandoned the cart and ran to an awaiting vehicle and fled. All the merchandis­e was recovered.

Paseo Padre and Shadow Brook streets, 11:10 a.m. Sunday: Someone used spray paint to deface a surface area using gang-related and anti-police words.

400 block of Chenab

Court, Aug. 5: Residents returned home to find someone inside their vehicle. When they confronted him, he produced a handgun and fled. The burglar was reportedly wearing a flat-brimmed ball cap, grey hoodie and jeans.

39100 block of Civic Center Drive, Aug. 5:

Police said someone drove a vehicle through the door of a business.

1900 block of Mowry Avenue, 7:03 a.m. Aug.

5: A woman was walking on the sidewalk without clothes. She was ordered by police to put them on and keep them on. The officers left only to return she had stripped again. She was placed under arrest.

Eucalyptus Terrace, Aug. 4: A woman told police she saw a man in her backyard. She said when he saw her, he immediatel­y fled. He was located and arrested a short time later.

37500 block of Willowood Drive, Aug. 4: A resident

told police his home video surveillan­ce caught someone stealing a package that was delivered.

43600 block of Pacific Commons, 3:20 p.m. Aug.

4: According to police, a man ran up to a woman who was in a parking lot looking for her vehicle, all while pushing a cart. He reached in, grabbed her wallet in the cart and fled. Contact Greg Young at 408-920-5653.
