BottleRock brings together bands for benefit concert series

Counting Crows, Train, Michael Franti & Spearhead are playing for fire relief efforts

Napa Valley-based concert promoters BottleRock Presents has announced a series of benefit shows in support of fire relief efforts in Wine Country.

The headliners are Counting Crows, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Train. Details on the shows are listed below.

“Nearly all of us who work with BottleRock Napa Valley and BottleRock Presents events live in the North Bay and have been affected by these devastatin­g fires in one way or another,” stated Dave Graham, CEO of the BottleRock Napa Valley festival and BottleRock Presents. “We felt it was important to bring music directly to the North Bay to raise both money and the spirits of our friends and neighbors in wine country.

“We are extremely grateful to all of the musicians for donating their time and talents and to the crews, volunteers, our BottleRock staff and all our partners and sponsors who have stepped up to make these benefit concerts possible.”

Michael Franti & Spearhead headlines the For The Love of Napa benefit concert on Nov. 18 at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville. Vintage Trouble opens. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. today.

The Counting Crows headline the For the Love of Sonoma benefit concert on Nov. 18 at Weill Hall at The Green Music Center in Rohnert Park. Brett Dennen opens the show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today.

Train, presented in associatio­n with Drops of Jupiter Wine, performs a benefit concert on Dec. 1 at the JaM Cellars Ballroom at The Napa Valley Opera House in downtown Napa. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. today.

All of the proceeds from these concerts support wine country fire relief efforts through The Napa Valley and Sonoma County

Community Foundation­s, along with The North Bay Fire Relief Fund and NomaGives, supporting Sonoma State University faculty, staff and students

who lost homes or were impacted by the fires.

BottleRock is also an event sponsor for the Band Together benefit concert at AT&T Park on Nov. 9.
