BMW-powered watch winder

This is likely one of the most unusual (and expensive) auto-related products imaginable. Vulcan Innova has taken an actual BMW six-cylinder engine block, placed it on its end and converted it to a watch winder. Each of the six cylinders contains what’s called a rotating “stepper” motor attached to the piston that keeps the timepiece fully wound and ready for the wearer to strap on his or her wrist. The price for this oneof-a-kind watch winder is $25,000 (possibly even more expensive than an actual working BMW engine). Full details at www.vulcaninnova.com.

A seal for your garage

Many garage doors fail to keep out rain, insects, dirt and debris, etc. One solution is to install a Garage Door Threshold Kit from Tsunami Seal. This PVC barrier attaches to the garage floor and compresses to form a tight seal whenever the door is closed. The product has also been designed to withstand years of use and can withstand extreme hot and cold. The Tsunami Seal is available in lengths from 10 feet to 50 feet and can be installed as is, or trimmed with a knife for a custom fit. Retail prices range from $50 to $250. Purchase from various online resellers or from any Home Depot store. An automatic cover-up

The EZ-Cover is a waterproof, breathable vehicle protector that comes rolled up inside a storage canister that attaches to the back of your car using special straps. Pressing the EZ-Cover’s remote control unit releases it so that it can be pulled over the vehicle. When not needed, pressing the remote again causes the EZ-Cover to wind itself back into the canister, after first being detached from your vehicle’s front end. The cover has double-stitched seams and provides protection from the elements as well as from harmful sunlight. EZ-Cover is available in different sizes and colors and is priced at $279.
