SERIES HISTORY: Wyoming has the edge in the all-time series with a record of 6-3. The teams will be meeting for the first time since an Oct. 18, 2014, when the Spartans picked up a 27-20 overtime victory at Wyoming. San Jose State is on a two-game win streak in the series, having also earned a 51-44 victory over the Cowboys at home in 2013. STORYLINES: SJSU will look to send off its 12 seniors with a victory. The senior class, which includes a potential NFL draftee in defensive back Andre Chachere, will be recognized in a pregame ceremony. … Saturday marks the final chance for first-year Spartans coach Brent Brennan to pick up a victory over an FBS school this season. The Spartans’ only victory of the season came against Cal-Poly. … Frank Ginda will get an opportunit­y to add on to what is an an impressive milestone. The junior linebacker had 11 tackles in a 42-14 loss at Colorado State last week, setting a record for most tackles in a single season by a Mountain West player with 163. Ginda may not catch the record by an FBS player (193 by Lawrence Flugence of Texas Tech in 2002), but he could wind up in the top 10 with five more tackles. … Wyoming quarterbac­k Josh Allen, a projected first-round pick in the NFL draft, is expected to be a game-time decision. Allen has been dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out of last week’s loss to Fresno State.

STATS THAT MATTER:

Quarterbac­k Montel Aaron has gone three straight games without throwing for a touchdown. The freshman’s last touchdown pass came in the fourth quarter of a 41-20 loss at BYU on Oct. 28.
