Hassett Ace Hardware
Hassett Ace Hardware believes (being a Top Workplace) encompasses three major themes: hard work, clarity and consistency. In order to become the best you must first acknowledge your weaknesses and this is exactly where Hassett Ace Hardware began on the path to becoming a Top Workplace. Several years ago, we decided that our company culture needed work, and a clear vision of where we wanted to excel. We needed to make changes to inspire a happy, positive culture within our stores. We began by increasing our communication and the clarity of our message. We focused on manager-toemployee relations, increasing owner relations with all staff, and setting a clear goal and expectation of upholding the core values that Hassett Hardware operates by: integrity, customer awareness, team leadership, innovation, communication, respect for others, results-driven, judgment, maturity and accountability. Hassett Ace Hardware is a family-owned and -operated company which truly values the service of each and every employee. We operate on creating and maintaining an environment that will produce HAPPY employees.

In fact, they surveyed more than 2.8 million employees at nearly 7,000 organizations last year alone. Energage, based in Exton, Pennsylvania, conducts this survey in partnership with Bay Area News Group. The Top Workplaces list is entirely based on employee feedback through the survey process. Last year, the survey generated responses from more than 22,500 employees in the Bay Area.
Employees are asked 24 questions, and the employer may add five more. The questions measure employee opinions in the areas of engagement, organizational health and satisfaction. The identity of employees is kept anonymous.
