“The Shape of Water” (R): A woman falls in love with a sea creature in this fantastica­l 1950s-set tale. With Sally Hawkins, Octavia Spencer and Michael Shannon. In limited release; expands Dec. 15. “Wonder Wheel” (PG13): On Coney Island in the 1950s, a lifeguard tells the story of a middle-aged carousel operator and his beleaguere­d wife.
