Mitch Marner scored the winner in the shootout of Toronto’s 6- 5 victory over Dallas that extended the Maple Leafs’ franchise-record home winning streak to 11 games.

Marner beat Kari Lehtonen in the third round of the shootout, completing Toronto’s comebacks from 4-2 and 5- 4 deficits in the third period.

James van Riemsdyk had his third career hat trick, and Nazem Kadri and Patrick Marleau also scored in regulation for the Maple Leafs.

Toronto goalie Curtis McElhinney stopped 13 of 15 shots in relief of injured starter Frederik Andersen, including a couple while the Maple Leafs were killing a penalty in overtime.

Tyler Seguin had a goal and two assists for Dallas. RANGERS4, PENGUINS 3 (OT) >> Mika Zibanejad scored the tying goal late in the third period and then got the winner 2:53 into overtime to rally New York past Pittsburgh.

Chris Kreider had a goal and three assists for his first career four-point night, and Jesper Fast also scored to help the Rangers get their second straight win after a three-game skid.

Bryan Rust , Riley Sheahan and Carl Hagelin scored for the Penguins, who lost for just the fifth time in their last 15 games (10- 4-1). DEVILS 8, GOLDEN KNIGHTS 3 >> Blake Coleman scored twice, Michael Grabner and Nico Hischier each had a goal and an assist, and New Jersey its worst home loss of its maiden season.

Taylor Hall, Travis Zajac, Stefan Noesen and Kyle Palmieri also scored for the Devils, who improved to 9- 6- 0 in their last 15 and moved one point ahead of idle Columbus for the top wild card in the Eastern Conference. Keith Kinkaid stopped 39 shots. DUCKS3, CANUCKS0>> Jason Chimera got his first goal and assist with Anaheim, and defenseman Brandon Montour scored twice to lead the Ducks over Vancouver.

John Gibson made 32 saves to hand the Canucks their thirdconsecutive shutout. Vancouver has lost five straight and eight of nine. Jacob Markstrom stopped 34 shots.

SPURGEON OUT AT LEAST FOUR WEEKS >> Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon will miss a minimum of four weeks due to a partial tear of his right hamstring.

Spurgeon likely would miss some postseason games if the Wild, currently in third place in the Central Division, make it there. Spurgeon has nine goals and 28 assists in 61 games for Minnesota this season. He leads the team in blocked shots (127) and is second behind Ryan Suter in ice time per game (24:32).
