Aurelia Delgado

-

November 12, 1938 - March 13, 2018 Resident of Saratoga

Aurelia Delgado originally from Tecuala, Nayarit (Mexico) entered into eternal rest on March 13 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 79. She came from humble beginnings, raised on a private family ranch known as El Naranjito. Ultimately her family grew to consist of 14 brothers and 3 sisters, numerous nephews and nieces who all loved her very much. Life on her beloved ranch were cherished memories of very happy times.

She was born on November 12, 1938 to parents Jose and Irene Espericueta. At age 20 she married her husband of 47 years, Joaquin, with whom she built a home and family. They had four children: Joaquin Jr., Mario, Carmen and Sonia. Later, she welcomed and profoundly enjoyed the addition of grandchildren: Antonio, Marcy, Adrian, and Paola and two beautiful great-granddaughters, Sophia and Violet. She never ceased working for her family! How she loved attending her grandson’s baseball games, and watching Paola dance at her recitals-nothing brought her greater pride and joy!

Aurelia was a woman of deep Catholic faith who dedicated her life to family and fostering life-long friendships. Her cooking talents were boundless, and her ability to love was endless. Her spirit, warmth and quick-wit will be greatly missed.

Rosary and Vigil will take place on March 21 at 7pm. Funeral Mass is on March 22 at 10am. Both will take place at St. Joseph Cathedral-Basilica, 80 S. Market Street in San Jose. Following mass, she will be laid to rest along with her husband at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos.
