Mountain Winery announces 2018 lineup

Classic-rock icon Roger Daltrey, multiplati­numselling folk-pop star Norah Jones, acclaimed hip-hop troupe the Roots and legendary crooner Tony Bennett are among the acts set to appear during the 60th Summer Concert Series at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga.

The lineup, which was announced Monday, also includes Willie Nelson with Alison Krauss, Pretenders, the Original Wailers, Los Lobos, Lyle Lovett, the Roots,, O.A.R., the Rascals, the Isley Brothers, ABC and dozens of other attraction­s.

The season runs May 30 through Sept. 30.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Monday at mountainwi­nery.com and axs.com.

Here are five of our top picks for the season:

1. The Isley Brothers and Commodores (June 16) — The two R&B-funk-soul troupes join forces for what should be a memorable doublehead­er.

2. Willie Nelson & Family and Alison Krauss (Aug. 6) — Speaking of doublehead­ers, how could you possibly go wrong with this country-bluegrass pairing?

3. Retro Futura (July 22) — Do you still love the ’80s? Then catch this retro tour with Belinda Carlisle, Modern English, Tony Lewis from the Outfield, Kajagoogoo’s LiMahl and the great ABC.

4. Roger Daltrey (Aug. 10) — The legendary lead singer of The Who performs with Who band members Simon Townsend, Jon Button, Scott Devours, Loren Gold and Frank Sims.

5. The Beach Boys (Sept. 16) — Mike Love once again leads his beloved band through one of the greatest catalogs in music history.
