Roma stuns favored Barcelona in Champions League

Roma pulled off an extraordin­ary comeback to knock Barcelona out of the Champions League on Tuesday, winning 3-0 at home in Rome to reach the semifinals by overturnin­g a three-goal deficit from the first leg. But they advanced on away goals after center back Kostas Manolas scored the decider with a header from a corner in the 82nd minute. Roma entered the game as massive underdogs after losing the first leg of their quarterfin­al 4-1 against a Lionel Messi-led team that was one of the favorites.

Liverpool joined Roma in the semifinals by a 5-1 aggregate over Manchester City.

A rewritten federal indictment released Tuesday alleges that Adidas officials paid parents of athletes willing to commit to the schools.

BILLS’ INCOGNITO TO RETIRE >> Richie Incognito is calling it quits on an 11-season NFL career, three years after the Buffalo Bills gave the offensive guard a second chance at playing following his role in the Miami Dolphins’ bullying scandal. The NFL Players Associatio­n announced Incognito had contacted the union of his plans to retire. Earlier in the day, the 34-yearold said he was “done” in a text to The Associated Press. Incognito told The Buffalo News he’s retiring because of health reasons. “I’m done. That’s it,” Incognito told The News. “Went to the doctor. My liver and kidneys are shutting down. The stress is killing me.”
