Isabelle Cairns, St. Francis track and field: Won the 800 at the Central Coast Section Top 8 Classic at Los Gatos in 2:13.01, which broke her own school record of 2:14.39 that she set this season at the K-Bell meet. The new mark ranks 10th in the state this season. Also ran a 57.5 anchor leg to help St. Francis take fifth in the 4×400 relay in a season-best 4:03.78. Alex Enos, St. Ignatius track and field: Shattered the long jump record at the CCS Top 8 meet, winning the competitio­n in 25-0. The previous mark, set in 1992 and matched nine years later, was 23-10. Enos’ mark ranks No. 1 in the state and No. 2 in the nation.

Arianna Fisher, Silver Creek track and field: Soared 42 feet, 9 inches to win the triple jump at the CCS Top 8 meet, falling two inches short of a 34-year-old meet record and moving up to No. 1 in the state and No. 2 nationally in the season rankings. Carson Gerhardy, Piedmont baseball: Hit a grand slam, drove in five runs overall and scored twice in an 11-0 victory over Encinal in West Alameda County Conference Shoreline Division play. Citlalli Hernandez, KIPP-San Jose softball: In a nonleague loss to Crystal Springs Uplands and a league win over Latino College Prep, she had five hits in eight at-bats, scored six runs and knocked in six runs. KIPP began the week 7-0 in league and is closing in on a section playoff berth.

Hawa Kamara, Leigh track and field: Ran the 400 in 55.29 to break the CCS Top 8 meet record and establish a new top time in the section this season. Also took first in the 200 in 25.03.

Erin Kiuttu, Los Gatos softball: Helped lead the Wildcats to victories over Pioneer and Silver Creek. Began this week 8-2 with a 1.61 ERA on the season as Los Gatos has vaulted into first place in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League’s De Anza Division. Sherie Martinez and Arianna Fernandez, Mt. Eden softball: In wins over Encinal and Hayward, Martinez went 5 for 5 to raise her league batting average to .818 and Fernandez went 4 for 6, scored five runs, stole three bases and drew two walks from the leadoff spot.

Nanda Nayak, Evelyn How, Bianca Young and Brooke Young, Monta Vista track and field: Broke an 11-year-old school record while winning the 4×100 relay at the CCS Top 8 meet in 47.95, the section’s top auto-timed mark this season. How, the Young twins and Reema Apte later teamed to break a school record in the 4×400 relay (4:03.60) to finish fourth. Christophe­r Northgrave, Overfelt baseball: Pitched all eight innings, had three hits and scored twice — including the decisive run — in a 5-4 victory over Del Mar in a Blossom Valley Athletic League West Valley Division game.

Brian Perkins, Bellarmine College Prep volleyball: Had 10 kills in a 3-0 victory over Sacred Heart Cathedral and 10 more in a 3-0 sweep of Santa Barbara. The Bells began this week 23-7 overall and 10-0 in the West Catholic Athletic League. Dominic Pipkin, Pinole Valley baseball: The Cal-bound standout struck out 12 and allowed two hits in five innings to help Pinole Valley beat St. Mary’s-Berkeley 6-0 in a Tri-County Athletic League game.

Jordan Schuring, St. Francis softball: In a 2-1 victory over Archbishop Mitty in West Catholic Athletic League play, she allowed just two hits and zero earned runs with eight strikeouts. She began this week 14-3 with a 1.58 ERA and 107 strikeouts. Mitchell Scott, Serra baseball: Threw six shutout innings, striking out nine and scattering four hits, to help lead Serra to a 3-0 victory over top-ranked Valley Christian in a WCAL game. Trace Tammaro, De La Salle baseball: Blasted a two-run homer to right in the fifth inning, erasing a one-run deficit and sending De La Salle on its way to a 6-3 victory over Granada in an East Bay Athletic League game.

Josh White, Monte Vista baseball: Allowed one hit over seven innings with nine strikeouts and no walks but didn’t get the decision as Monte Vista needed eight innings to defeat Amador Valley 2-0 in an EBAL game.

Steven Zobac, Valley Christian baseball: Cleared the fence in right field leading off the eighth inning, propelling the Bay Area News Group’s top-ranked team to a 6-3 victory over No. 2 Archbishop Mitty.
