Nicholas Betchart, Washington-Fremont track and field: Senior took first at the Sacramento Meet of Champions with his best toss of the season, 56 feet, 7 inches. The mark ranks fourth in the North Coast Section this season.

Zach Button, Serra baseball: With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Button hit a two-run double to complete a three-run rally as Serra stayed in first place in the West Catholic Athletic League with a 4-3 victory over Archbishop Mitty.

Malcolm Clemons, St. Mary’s-Berkeley track and field: Placed first at the Sacramento Meet of Champions in the long jump in 23-3 1⁄2. His mark of 24-5 1⁄2, set at the Stanford Invitation­al in March, leads the NCS and ranks second in the state.

Sofia Earle, Carondelet softball: Struck out 19 and allowed just one hit as Carondelet defeated American-Fremont 2-0. Earlier in the week, the Saint Mary’s-bound senior struck out 13 and allowed three hits without a walk in a 1-0 loss to St. Francis.

Nicholas Fay, Salesian baseball: Sophomore threw a no-hitter in a win over rival Richmond in Tri-County Athletic League Stone Division play. Earlier this season, Fay had taken a no-hitter into the seventh inning. Through his first three starts, he was 3-0 with a 1.05ERA.

Hannah-Sophia Hall, James Logan track and field: Won the discus with a personal-best toss of 158-0 at the Sacramento Meet of Champions, a mark that ranks fourth in the state this season. Also won the shot put at the meet in 45-5 1⁄4, which also ranks fourth in the state this year.

Kali Hatcher, St. Mary’s-Berkeley track and field: Won two events at the Sacramento Meet of Champions as she soared a personal-best 42 feet, 3 1⁄2 inches to take first in the triple jump and 18-4 1⁄2 to finish on top in the long jump. Her triple jump mark ranks No. 1 in the North Coast Section, No. 2 in the state and No. 4 nationally this season. Her season-best mark in the long jump of 18-11 3⁄4 came at the Stanford Invitation­al in March.

Hailey Hayes, Foothill softball: Went 5 for 6 with four doubles and seven RBIs last week as Foothill improved its record to 16-3 overall and 7-2 in league. Hayes raised her batting average to .420 with 19 RBIs, seven doubles and two home runs.

Daylon Hicks, Clayton Valley Charter track and field: Finished first in the high jump at the Sacramento Meet of Champions with a mark of 6-5. His leap of 6-10 at the Mt. SAC Relays leads the NCS.

Aaron Letvin, Menlo-Atherton volleyball: Finished with 10 kills in a three-set sweep of Capuchino and nine in a three-set sweep of South San Francisco as M-A ran its record to 26-0 overall and 12-0 in league.

Nick Marinconz, Valley Christian baseball: Had three hits, scored three runs and knocked in two runs as Valley Christian rallied to defeat Sacred Heart Cathedral 7-6 in nine innings to stay tied for first in the WCAL.

Robert Miranda, Menlo track and field: Took sixth in the mile at the Penn Relays, covering the distance in 4:16.45. The Yale-bound senior was the first Menlo athlete to receive an invitation to the prestigiou­s meet and the only runner from a school west of North Carolina to compete in his race.

Elizabeth Phillips, Mt. Eden softball: Helped lead her team to four consecutiv­e victories heading into this week, going 13 for 14 with 10 runs, nine RBIs, three triples and two doubles. Also threw four complete games from the pitching circle, allowing two earned runs and striking out 49 with five walks in 26 innings.

Delia Scott, Heritage softball: Threw a perfect game to lead Heritage to a 13-0 rout of Liberty in Bay Valley Athletic League play. Heritage began this week 10-3 overall and 3-1 in the BVAL. Alyssa Sahami, Menlo girls lacrosse: Sophomore made a save in the closing seconds to preserve a 9-8 victory over Sacred Heart Prep, which moved Menlo into sole possession of first place in the West Bay Athletic League. Also had four saves in a 16-4 win over Burlingame.

Carson Yates, Leland baseball: Had three hits, including a home run, to help the Chargers defeat Leigh 4-1, an outcome that kept Leland tied with Willow Glen for first place in the Blossom Valley Athletic League’s Mount Hamilton Division.
