LOCAL GOLF EVENTS

Ann Sobrato HS Tournament: May 11 at Eagle Ridge Golf Course. Check-in at 10:30 a.m., followed by range practice at 11 a.m., and noon tee off. Cash bar, silent auction and dinner begins after golf, at 5:30 p.m., with raffle/silent auction and tournament awards beginning at 6:45 p.m. $135 per golfer, $45 dinner only, $250-$1,000 sponsorship packages. Red Devil Classic: June 22 at Diablo Creek Golf Course. Registration at 11 a.m., followed by lunch, golf, dinner and raffle/silent auction. Proceeds to help Mt. Diablo High School academic and athletic programs. Dinner only tickets also available. BAWPVA Tournament: Aug. 13 at Palo Alto Hills Golf & Country Club. Registration at 11 a.m., followed by shotgun start at noon. Box lunch provided to all golfers and an awards dinner will follow 18-hole scramble. Proceeds raised through the BAWPVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America Bay Area Western Chapter) golf event will go to help wheelchair athletes and helping to find a cure for paralysis. $240 per golfer, $880 foursome, $50 spectator ticket, $200 tee sponsor, $240 sponsor a veteran.
