MOUNTAIN VIEW >> A 21-yearold San Jose man was arrested over the weekend on several charges, including suspicion of kidnapping, after he allegedly forced a motorist to drive him to a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Mountain View, police said.

Just after 3 a.m. Saturday, a 31-year-old San Jose man was looking for a parking space near 14th and Santa Clara streets in San Jose when a 21-year-old man opened the passenger side door, got into the car and demanded to be driven anywhere he wanted to go, according to Mountain View police.

The man who forced his way into the car was identified by police as Alberto Ulloa-Avila. Police said Ulloa-Avila threatened to hurt the driver if he did not comply.

The driver took surface streets to the Mountain View Kentucky Fried Chicken on El Camino Real and Castro Street.

Once parked, Ulloa-Avila attempted to rob the driver, according to police. The driver got out of his car and ran away.

Police say UlloaAvila got into the driver’s seat and began to drive away. But he quickly turned around, returned to the KFC and chased the victim across El Camino Real.

Officers, who responded to the area after receiving calls for help, found the men along El Camino Real.

Police say the men did not know each other. UlloaAvila was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, making criminal threats, vehicle theft, violating a protective order and driving on a suspended license.
