Who’ll go down in history as US democracy’s savior?

As a loyal American I am mortified by the misguided actions of Donald Trump in regard to our Canadian and Mexican neighbors, his confused tariffs affecting our world trade partners, his blatant overtures of friendship to the Russian government despite its aggressive interference in our democratic process, his cruelty and bigotry, his demoralization of the free press and his erratic behavior in all his decisions.

I am appalled that leaders in Congress, in the Senate and Department of Justice cower in their corners as Donald Trump careens wildly from one bad, bigoted decision to another.

Who are the real leaders in our government? Who will step up and rein in this unfortunate choice of a president? Who will to go down in history as a ‘Toady for Trump’ and who is willing to take a stand now and go down in history as a savior of our democracy?
