Linda Barbara Terry

Passed in peace Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 96. Preceded in death by her husband, John, her son, Glenn, and brothers, Arnold and Father Al. Dear friend and companion of Bill West. Sister of Martin Lucking and Father Al, his fraternal twin. Loving mother of Jim and Glenn. Proud grandmother of Lauren, Samantha, and Linda (Jim) Terry, and Alison and Phillip (Glenn) Terry. Great grandmother to James and Banks (Lauren), Felix (Phillip), and Francis (Alison).

Linda was born on a farm in Minnesota on May 18, 1922 to her parents, Anthony and Barbara Lucking, and was the eldest of their four children. She attended nursing school at the University of Minnesota and earned the title of Registered Nurse. She married John Terry in New York on July 16, 1952.

Linda will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, talented nurse, International airline stewardess, real estate broker, computer programmer, world traveler, and beloved friend. Special thanks to her favorite caregivers, Maribel and Juanita, who were with her to end and provided tremendous support and comfort to her family in her last days. Her last words sum it up perfectly: “I’ll be okay.” We are truly blessed to have learned so many valuable lessons from Linda in her magical 96 years.

Services will be held on July 2, 2018 at 10:00 am at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park..
