Jing Johnson, 48, of San Jose, Ca tragically lost her life on June 14th in North Eastern Idaho in a single car auto accident. Jing was born in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province of China. At the age of 31, Jing emigrated to the United States where she met her husband, Jerry Johnson. Together they had three children and eventually built their home in San Jose, Ca. For many years, Jing worked for the Alum Rock school district at Meyer School as a Special Education Para Educator where she was highly commended for her strong work ethic, hard work, and daily contributi­ons. Jing was an extremely talented individual who enjoyed creating beautiful paintings on cards for family and friends, creating works of art out of origami, and recently started to knit. Jing was fascinated with growing succulent plants which she would sell at garage sales. Jing enjoyed the study of Chinese medicine, Agatha Christie novels, classic movies, going on hikes, fishing mountain streams, and regularly volunteeri­ng at her children’s schools. Jing left us too soon and her presence will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and colleagues. Jing is survived by her husband, Jerry Johnson, her three children, Jing’s parents Liqiu Zhang (father), Qingfang Huang (mother), and Zhu Zhang (brother). Visitation will be held Sun., July 8th from 1 to 8 pm at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow St., San Jose. Funeral at St. Frances Cabrini Church, San Jose, on July 9th at 11am. Jing’s final resting place will be in San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey, Ca. A GoFundMe page has been created for The Johnson Family by family friends to assist with expenses the family is facing. The Johnson family is extremely grateful for everyone’s prayers and support during this difficult time.
