‘Dirty’ man sought in teen’s groping near Pillar Point boat launch ramp

HALF MOON BAY » The search is on for a “dirty” man who groped a 14-year-old girl in Half Moon Bay last month.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred in a parking lot near the Pillar Point boat launch ramp between 9 and 10:30 a.m. June 30. It was not immediately reported to authorities and detectives only met with the victim Tuesday.

The victim described her assailant as white, in his 40s and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He also had a chubby to medium build, as well as a full head of hair and a short and shaggy beard, both of which were brown. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
