David Boggini

1931-2018 Resident of Aptos

David K. Boggini, 86, of Aptos, Ca. passed away peacefully on July 17, 2018 at Dominican Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of life honoring Mr. Boggini will be held at Resurrection Church in Aptos (7600 Soquel Dr.) on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00am. David will be laid to eternal rest at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery immediately following the celebration.

David was born on September 10, 1931 in San Jose to Peter J. & Elizabeth K. Boggini. He attended Bellarmine College Prep, Menlo Park Community College, and San Jose State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. He also proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Boggini’s career with the City of San Jose spanned over 28 years, where he retired as the Deputy City Manager. He has been a long time, faithful parishioner of Resurrection Church in Aptos and Transfiguration Church in San Jose. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, First Community Housing of San Jose, and the Silicon Valley Economic Development Alliance.

David was an avid golfer, and a fan of all sports, especially the Golden State Warriors.

Mr. Boggini was preceded in death by his parents, Peter & Elizabeth (Kirby) Boggini, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 57 years, Sally Boggini. Daughter, Pamela Boggini; sons, Peter (Julie), Paul (Kim) & Patrick (Chris) Boggini; and grandchildren, Samantha, Maxine, Nathan, Nolan, Casey, Melissa, William & Alexander Boggini.
